Bumpity Morning

Sun peeking in the East….
What will this day release….

Bird song….
sweet and long….
Calling…”come, my love….
a nest to make…..
prepare for little ones…..
Did you see Bob’s seed?”

Squirrels scampering and chattering, too!
“Where did I store those nuts?….
I have little ones to feed!”

Wood stoves dieing embers call….
“I am hungry! Feed me, Please!”

My bed so toasty warm….
“Just 5 more minutes, before into morning I ease….”

Cats by the patio door…..
“Time to eat their eyes implore”….

That reminds me…..
Bob has seeds in store….
time to sort and see….
“Do we need more?”

My body restless now….
ready to enJOY this day!
Banana muffins to make….
As I work and play!

My thoughts now shift to all of YOU!
You are here with me….in all I am!
I carry you in my heart….
I know we are never truly apart!

At this time so many are alone….
so I will take a moment….pick up my phone….
Say, “Hello! I was thinking of you!
I was wondering….what are you up to?”

As I close my eyes and see your faces….

Remembering times, places and sacred spaces!

I am so very grateful for every moment….
